Garner’s residents thrive when the community shows up for them. The Garner Optimist Club brings together positive, action‑driven people who want to make life better right here at home.
What You Can Do…
1. Support Youth Programs
Help with essay, oratorical, and scholarship contests, support kids in crisis, or families in need. Help fund local sports teams or high school bands. Great for people who love working with kids.
2. Community Events & Service Projects
Pitch in at the Garner Optimist Christmas Parade, local festivals, fundraisers, clean‑ups, or outreach events. Perfect for social, hands-on volunteers.
3. Short-Term, Flexible Roles and Projects
Assist with planning, communications, or behind-the-scenes tasks you can do from home — ideal for busy schedules.
4. Family-Friendly Volunteering
Bring your kids to certain events, like our BBQ fundraisers, and show them what community service looks like.
